Britax bigger than ever at Cologne

Britax's forthcoming 2009 collection features the next generation of safe, stylish and easy-to-use child car seats and wheeled goods.

The nursery sector leader's 650 sq. metre stand, located in Hall 10.2, Stand D 10/E 19, is its best ever at Cologne.

The team at Britax has been working tirelessly over the last 12 months to re-energise the brand and produce a collection for 2009 which screams innovation. As a result, they are proud to introduce a number of amazing new product lines and range extensions, many of which will be unveiled at the forthcoming Cologne trade show.

Britax SAFEFIX plus TT

The Britax SAFEFIX plus TT is a state-of-the-art car seat that has the unique feature of having both a top tether and the Britax ISOFIX securing system, in order to provide elevated levels of safety.

The seat is first anchored directly to the car using the ISOFIX connection points, giving maximum protection and minimising error when fitting the seat. The Britax SAFEFIX plus TT has a pivot link system that reduces the child's forward movement within the seat in the event of an accident.

The seat has a five point safety harness, four recline positions to ensure the child is comfortable and also features ‘Click & Safe', an audible system that indicates when the harness has been tightened sufficiently.

Britax BABY-SAFE Sleeper

The new Britax product that has been receiving arguably the most attention from both industry experts and parents alike, is the BABY-SAFE Sleeper.

Child health experts agree that laying flat is the optimum position for newborn babies. This innovative travel system for babies aged 0-6 months, is a fully ‘lay-flat' system that can be used both in the car and on wheels without complicated attachments, a first for a lay-flat system.

Multiple safety features provide the highest level of security, including a roll cage and anti-clockwise rotation, an energy absorbing interior for 360° body protection, an adjustable backrest and an in-car misuse preventer. The BABY-SAFE Sleeper is also comfortable with padded interior bedding that is soft on the skin and removable for washing. It is also particularly suitable for premature babies.

Compatible with the sporty Britax Vigour 3+, the stylish Vigour 4+ and the adaptable Visio travel system, the BABY-SAFE Sleeper also has Britax's ‘Click & Go' feature, a single handed release system that allows parents to remove or attach it from the chassis quickly and easily.

Britax BABY-SAFE Belted Base

Also new to the Britax range is the Britax BABY-SAFE Belted Base, which offers parents both simplicity and peace of mind thanks to a number of innovative technologies developed by the best child safety engineers in the world.

The easy belt tensioning system ensures the child is both secure and comfortable and, since the base remains in the vehicle, parents do not have to adjust and tighten the seat belt every time they take the infant carrier out of the car.

The Britax BABY-SAFE Belted Base also has a sliding mechanism that allows parents to click the infant carrier into place using only one hand. This, combined with an easy press button at the front of the base to release the infant carrier, makes the product a boon to busy parents struggling to carry a number of things at once. Parents can tell also with a glance that the infant carrier is connected correctly thanks to a simple visual indicator.

The BABY-SAFE Belted Base system is compatible with Britax's popular BABY-SAFE Plus and BABY-SAFE Plus SHR products.
