Graco taking the car seat market by storm

With 18% of the car seat market share and the biggest year-on-year share growth of over 19%* in the car seat sector alone, 2007 looks set to be another great year for Graco. Already market leader in Group 0+ and Group 2/3, the launch of their Logico M Group 1 car seat and completion of their Tri-Logic range looks set to develop Graco’s market position even further, allowing parents to stay with Graco from birth through to 12 years.

VP General Manager Graco UK and Ireland, Tracey Bamber comments: "Due to the importance of safety on the road, choosing a car seat is a carefully considered decision. Our research shows that once parents have made that decision, when it comes to trading up to the next size, many parents return to their chosen brand. Graco parents were unable to do this as we simply didn’t have the products.

"We sell more Group 0+ and Group 2/3 car seats than any other manufacturer and so filling the gap in our range with two new Group 1 seats, poses a huge opportunity, for ourselves and our customers. We know from the number of calls into our office everyday just how many parents want to be able to buy a Graco Group 1 car seat!"

Tri-Logic

Tracey continues "Purchasing a car seat can be a confusing experience for parents as they have to get their heads around car seat legislation and group categorisation. Consequently, retailers are often left with the tricky job of explaining the difference between car seat fact and fiction. At Graco, we have developed the Tri-Logic range to support both our retailers and consumers by making it all as easy as possible.

"Tri-logic, The Science of Safety, has been created to make choosing a car seat easier for parents whilst ensuring they still receive all of the information required for peace of mind. We have established three car seat categories, small, medium and large and produced a range of car seats designed and even named, to reflect each of them. This simplified structure allows both the consumer to request, and the retailer to suggest the most suitable, safe and stylish car seat with confidence.

"We are then offering our retailers further support by introducing a new point of sale in line with the launch of Tri-Logic. Retailers stocking the Tri-Logic range will be offered a consumer friendly display system which allows them to illustrate the small, medium and large categories with optimum clarity and which can be adapted to fit most shelving units."

The Logico M

A perfect addition to the Graco car seat family, the Logico M offers a safe, secure and stylish choice for parents who wish to continue or begin their relationship with Graco.

Designed to meet ECE standards, the Logico M will be the first in a range of Graco Group 1 car seats.

Easy to install thanks to the innovative belt lock off that tightly secures the seatbelt in place, the seat is beautifully styled and has five recline positions. The padded five point harness also features three different adjustments, allowing the seat to adapt for growing children providing greater flexibility and comfort; in fact, in research, Logico M comfortably fitted 97% of infants up to the top weight of 18kg, keeping more kids safer in Group 1 seats for longer.
