James Caan, one of the more charming investors at the BBC's Dragons' Den and Kanya King, founder of MOBO, are just two of the judging panel for this year's ‘Fast Growth Business Awards'.
Nominations are now being sought to find the company that can best withstand scrutiny from a panel of hugely successful businessmen and women.
There are 14 categories in all, including Product Business of the Year, Retail/Leisure Business of the Year, Green Business of the Year, Financial Director of the Year and Best Use of Technology.
In addition the judges will choose an overall winner, crowning that one exceptional business, the ‘T-Mobile Fast Growth Business of the Year'. Past winners include industry leaders Insure and Go and Maximuscle, which was recently sold for £9.7 million.
The Fast Growth Business Awards is an independent scheme organised in conjunction with Growing Business Magazine and headline sponsored by T-Mobile. It is designed to raise awareness and celebrate the UK's fastest growing businesses and the people running them.
To enter, companies must be UK based, with fewer than 500 employees. They must have generated revenues for at least 2 years and have had revenues of at least £1million in their last 12 months trading. The deadline for entries is 19 December 2008 and finalists will be announced on 21st January 2009.
