Sarah Dickman, mother of 13 week old Tilly Dickman, has said how delighted she is that she was carrying her daughter in a Graco Junior Autobaby car seat when struck by a car in Yeovil, Somerset recently.
Sarah explained, ‘I was walking along carrying my baby in the car seat when suddenly I was smashed into the windscreen of a car. Tilly was thrown from my arms ten feet into the air, but thankfully she landed on the road still securely strapped in the Graco car seat. The seat protected her from the force of the impact. As a result, we were both fortunate enough to escape relatively unscathed and the only damage to the seat was scratches on its underside where it had skidded along the road.'
Tracey Bamber, General Manager for Graco UK and Ireland said, ‘We are so pleased that both Sarah and Tilly came away from this unharmed, and are more than happy to provide Sarah with a replacement car seat, along with a Vivo pushchair and Logico S car seat. At Graco safety is always our main priority, which is why all of our products undergo rigorous testing to ensure they go above and beyond the normal safety standards wherever possible. Consequently, our retailers can be completely confident that they have provided their customers with a product that continues to be a best seller based on both its test and ‘in use' performance characteristics.'
