Bulldog Licensing has released news of a major expansion to the relationship between baby/toddler property Goochicoo and top licensee Tommee Tippee - the UK's leading baby brand.
Goochicoo is the product of the Backland Creative Studio - the team of designer Kaely Backland and writer Ged Backland - who dreamt up Goochicoo as a way of putting the fun back into baby products. The brand features a range of cheeky little chaps and chapesses with ‘nappitude', accompanied by slogans that give them a clever and funny edge, such as ‘Toy Racer' and ‘The Piddler‘.
Tommee Tippee has been on board since 2005 with a range of baby accessories including Goochicoo branded cutlery which has seen outstanding sales results. A new deal has just been set up with Sainsbury's and the items will continue to be listed at Tesco.
Tommee Tippee is one of several Goochicoo licensees - Izziwotnot supply branded bedding, clothing giant Poetic Gem provide baby apparel, and Kiss HK make Goochicoo wooden toys, whilst greeting cards are being distributed nationwide by UK Greetings. Further announcements are expected shortly.
Bulldog MD Rob Corney is delighted with GoochiCoo's continued success: ‘Goochicoo is a merchandiser's dream and Tommee Tippee has demonstrated this, with strong sales in key accounts.'
