The companies exhibiting at Toy Fair represent every facet of the toy industry, from toy giants such as Hasbro and LEGO, to the many entrepreneurs just stepping out in the much-loved Greenhouse Area. Here's a low down on the companies you'll want to come and find.
Bigjigs
Bigjigs has two infant ranges, Baby Bigjigs and Heimess, and will be adding to both at Toy Fair. Sales of Heimess continue to exceed expectations for Bigjigs. The new blue and pink mouse range of 12 designs has proved very popular. Also new to Heimess are a selection of superb clip-ons and mini - trapezes which now combine the great wooden qualities of Heimess along with some lovely fabric characters.
EcoBoo
An exciting new range of toys developed with the intention of educating children through play, and educating parents about the depletion of the world's tropical forests. All of the company's toys are made from the highest quality bamboo and are bright, fun, environmentally safe and designed to withstand the rigors of play from the most active of children aged one to five.
Golden Bear
In the Night Garden is the number one pre-school license in the UK and Golden Bear is delighted to have acquired the nursery rights for this successful brand. The new range will be targeted at babies from 6-18 months old, and will comprise of travel toys, teethers and activity toys.
John Crane
The Woodlands Collection from TOLO by John Crane includes the charming Toadstool Musical Cot Toy that can be wound up to play a gentle lullaby so baby drifts to sleep. Featuring a bunny with blue dress, this red toadstool will keep him amused inside the cot as the bunny turns slowly round and round. The Click Clack Baby Walker from Branching Out by John Crane has three adorable rabbits that bound along while baby practises his walking skills. TOLO's Wiggly Jiggly Sneezy from John Crane is just right for tots on the go. His colourful ears and rainbow wings both have crinkly sounds within and his whole body makes a comforting rattle.
Marbel
Cornwall-based toy distributor, Marbel specialises in distributing classic toys made from traditional materials and is launching a number of new toys at Toy Fair. Plan Toys lead the way in eco friendly wooden toy manufacturer; they are not just toys, but beautiful products that provoke thought and imagination. All products are produced from sustainable rubber wood and finished with preservative free and water-based paint.
Upper Deck
Upper Deck is launching two pre-school products at Toy Fair - Kikaboo! and Scrolly, both claimed to be perfect for nursery level. Scrolly is a unique, totally self-contained puzzle with no pieces to lose. Designed for little hands, children can scroll one of seven puzzle pictures into place. For children aged three plus, Scrolly launches Europe-wide with Disney licenses, Disney Princess, My Friends Tigger and Pooh, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse from March 2009.
Yes! Superbaby
Tried and tested in many nursery settings, the multi-award winning range of products can help the settling in process and increase customer loyalty by providing staff with a vital tool to help key workers bond with babies. Yes! Superbaby is launching four new miracle scarves at Toy Fair and four new miracle bands. The news scarves are ‘For My Baby' with squeaking star and musical fish; green and yellow with snail squeaker and musical flower; blue with bee squeaker and musical flower and pink with butterfly squeaker and musical flower.
