British knitwear outselling global brands at Selfridge
Published:  23 January, 2009

Britain's hot independent baby knitwear label Bonnie Baby has just announced that its collection is outselling global designer brands including Baby Dior at Selfridges' flagship store, Oxford St, London. The excellent sales figures have been achieved during Bonnie Baby's fourth season at the top London store.

Loved by many high profile celebrity mums including Gwyneth Paltrow, Jules Oliver and Charlotte Church, the Bonnie Baby range of stylish 100% cotton, merino wool and machine washable cashmere has fast become a favourite label for customers who like their fashion to be as individual as they are.

Founder and designer Tracey Samue says, 'This really gave us a reason to be cheerful over the festive season! We pride ourselves on creating colourful, fun and stylish clothing that doesn't compromise on either quality or practicality and I think it's this fresh approach to knitwear for children that's proving so popular with today's parent.'.

Bonnie Baby's goal is to continue working with only top department stores and independent retailers to maintain a clear brand identity and to help consolidate its position in the marketplace. Bonnie baby currently has 100 stockists across the UK, including Selfridges, and 50 stockists worldwide.
