Sarah Firth joined the BPA in January as Events Co-ordinator
Published:  01 June, 2007

Q - When and where were you born?

A - 1983, Basingstoke, a town renowned for its roundabouts and not much else.

Q - Education?

A - Graduated in Business Studies (BA: Hons) from the University of the West of England in 2005.

Q - Marital status?

A - I've just taken the plunge into the world of home ownership, having just bought an apartment with my partner, Brian.

Q - First job?

A - In a garden centre café. I'm still not a very keen gardener, and everyone in the office complains about my tea! After university, having developed a desire to work in events, I was fortunate enough to work on the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, which I thoroughly enjoyed, especially as I got to go up in a balloon myself. I'm clearly destined for a high-flying career involving a lot of hot air!

Q - Present job?

A - Events Co-ordinator with the Baby Products Association. Since joining in January this year, the time has flown. I've met some lovely people and I'm really looking forward to my first BPA Baby & Child.

Q - What do you do when not working?

A - I like to socialise with friends, and occasionally use the gym membership which has not proved to be very good value for money!

Q - Favourite music?

A - If I had to choose a favourite it would be R & B. I'm always irritating my office colleagues by singing!

Q - Sport?

A - Football: I support Arsenal, much to our Chief Executive's disgust! I've been to the Emirates stadium three times.

Q - Most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you?

A - When my skirt fell off when I was walking home from school. People have since asked me the secret of my sales technique

Q - What would you like to be most remembered for?

A - Not for my skirt falling off!!
