Graco customer open days

Graco is offering retailers the chance to preview its forthcoming 2008 product collection during its customer open days, being held this summer at the company's Lichfield based headquarters. Tracey Bamber, VP General Manager for Graco UK & Ireland tells us more about what takes place….

What are Customer Days?

Graco Customer Days are essentially a series of 'open days' whereby retailers are invited to our new Lichfield headquarters to see our 2008 collection ahead of it being launched, meet our team and gain access to exclusive deals that wouldn't otherwise be available.

What can retailers expect from this year's Customer Days

The open days follow a feature-packed agenda starting at 10.30am and finishing at 3pm. Customers who attend will get an exclusive preview of the new 2008 product collections, be able to obtain independent marketing support, be given information of real added value and receive brand new in-store point of sale materials free of charge. We believe the information we have to offer is of real added value to retailers. Visitors will also be offered exclusive promotions that will only be made available to those who come along to the open days, including thousands of pounds worth of savings and a free gift. Those who attend will also be amongst the first to view Graco's fabulous new car-seat checker!

The full Graco UK team will be on hand to receive feedback from retailers and answer any questions about either our current business or future plans, whilst the training team will also be available for one-to-one product training. We have also scheduled in lots more hands-on product time this year to enable retailers to really familiarise themselves with our products. Finally, for any customers who haven't already been to our new Fradley Park site, a tour of the office and state-of-the-art distribution centre will be offered to those who attend on selected dates. We have taken into consideration feedback from retailers who attended last year to ensure this year's Customer Days are the most successful yet!

Why is it important for retailers to attend Customer Days?

By attending our Customer Days retailers will gain a head start in terms of planning their 2008 ranges which will help with stock levels, promotions and product presentation. The event also provides an invaluable forum in which to exchange ideas and feedback - retailers can tell us what they think of our business and products, and can also put forward suggestions as to how we can help them to grow their businesses further. In a nutshell, the open days are designed to arm our customers with everything they need to maximise their business during the year ahead. Why does Graco hold Customer Days? At Graco we aim to support our retailers in every way we can, and the customer open days allow us to really get under the skin of where we're doing this well and where we can make improvements in the future. Retailers are central to the success of our business so it's important to hear their views, take on board their comments and share our learnings with them. The Customer Days provide the ideal platform for doing this.

How successful have Customer Days been in the past?

We have received very positive feedback from customers who have attended Customer Days in previous years; staff at Rock-A-Bye Baby found the day “definitely worthwhile,” whilst independent retailer David Winstanley commented “more Indies should attend, they're missing out on some good deals!” Having the opportunity to preview product, find out about exclusive promotional offers and talk to the Graco team were just three of the benefits of attending a Customer Day that customers have highlighted in previous years.

MEET THE GRACO CUSTOMER DAY TEAM

Ben Jones Ben, Sales Manager for Graco UK and Ireland, boasts a wealth of experience in the nursery retail sector and can offer an informed insight into both product and market trends. Along with his team, Ben will be present at the Customer Days to answer questions regarding both new and current products, and to advise on sales techniques.

Luisa Svensson

Luisa, Collections Manager for Graco UK, is responsible for presenting the new 2008 collections during Customer Days. Having led the design and development of the new products, Luisa will be welcoming feedback at the Customer Days on the latest additions to the Graco range.

John Thompson

John is Graco's resident Training Manager and he holds an extensive knowledge of the Graco range. John will be on hand to help explain all the innovative features of the new products and show how to use them. John is also a car seat expert and he is in and out of stores every day to ensure retailers are able to demonstrate to their customers how to fit Graco car seats securely and safely.

Louise Atkins

Louise, Marketing Manager for Graco UK and Ireland, will be present at the Customer Days to explain Graco's market position and how the company is continuing to support retailers through advertising, PR and promotions. Louise will also be available to offer advice and tips on how to use the new point of sale materials, which will be distributed free of charge during the open days.
