The Baby Show appoints CPC as agent
Published:  01 July, 2007

Matt Miller, Show Manager of The Baby Shows and Colin Pattison from CPC confirming the agreement on the 'Out & About Brand Showcase'

Now in its sixth year, The Baby Show saw a number of significant innovations at the recent NEC Birmingham event, confirming its appeal to the nursery industry. Following the successful launch last year of the 'Out & About' area at The Baby Show Earls Court, this theatre of brands developed significantly for the NEC Show.

An area of 240 square metres comprised a display of Volvo family orientated, safety conscious, vehicles, together with a selection of products from the Dorel Group brands. Quinny Buzz and Zapp pushchairs sat alongside Maxi-Cosi infant car seats illustrating travel systems and the ease of Isofix fitting. The new Bébé Confort Axiss also proved very popular with consumers, many of whom were seeing the new concept for the first time and were able to have a full demonstration by Dorel's own product training team.

Dorel were not retailing within the feature, rather aiming to build brand awareness whilst allowing visitors to interact with the products. The Out & About Brand Showcase was surrounded by retailers, all primed with Dorel stock. Keith Stark from Glasgow Pram commented “We saw a high uplift in sales of Dorel products as a result of their demonstrations and showcase. Visitors were coming to our stand ready to buy”.

CPC, the company that delivered the Out & About Brand Showcase with Clarion, has now been appointed an agent for The Baby Shows. “This,” commented Colin Pattison, “will allow us to offer a full range of services to potential brands wanting involvement in a consumer show but not knowing how to make it happen. We can now offer anything from a simple shell scheme area, to a full turn-key solution of concept development, stand design and build, potentially allowing the brand to literally arrive on the day of the show with everything in place.”
