Q - When and where were you born?
A - On the south coast, at Brighton.

Q - Education?
A - Basic comprehensive.

Q - Qualifications?
A - GCSE'S/O'levels.

Q - Marital status and family?
A - I live with my partner and two dogs in a country house in Sussex.

Q - First job?
A - Receptionst at an electrical goods manufacturer.

Q - Then?
A - Decided there wasn't a specialised nursery store that offered up to date products in a friendly atmosphere so opened Frills All Round in 1986 with the help of an enterprise allowance award.

Q - Present job?
A - Director of Frills All Round.

Q - What do you do when not working?
A - Seem to be always working!!! The few spare moments are spent relaxing at home.

Q - Favourite book?
A - As we're in the finishing stages of our house extension, my favourite books are on paint techniques and décor.

Q - Favourite music?
A - Romantic ballads, but enjoy open air classical concerts.

Q - Sport?
A - Swimming and trying to get into keep fit. Does moving boxes in the warehouse count?

Q - Most embarrassing thing that’s happened to you?
A - In a pub once, someone dropped a pint of beer, which bounced up my skirt and filled my nice new trendy boots with beer. Everyone thought it was hysterical. I was mortified.

Q - Worst mistake?
A - Booking a beach villa in Sri Lanka for Christmas, the year of the tsunami.

Q - Thing you're most proud of?
A - Seeing Frills All Round as one of the country's leading independent stores; the numerous awards we've won and seeing the furniture ranges we developed going from strength to strength.

Q - What would you like to be most remembered for?
A - Someone who was mostly happy, vibrant and enjoyed life; was very fair and honest to do business with; someone who could always be relied on to pay her bills but someone to avoid upsetting at all costs!
