RC2 move in the right direction!

RC2 has announced the acquisition of Compass, a privately-held, start-up developer and marketer of infant and toddler travel gear. RC2 funded this acquisition with existing cash. Compass is best known for its folding toddler booster car seat which is currently sold in speciality and selected chain retailers.

The acquisition allows RC2 to further develop its infant offer alongside its First Years and Lamaze brands. Curt Stoelting, CEO of RC2, said: "We are delighted to have completed the acquisition of Compass. The acquired products and the new additions to our management team allow us to expand our presence into the growing infant and toddler travel gear category."
