It is with great regret that we will be saying goodbye to Paul Evans who is leaving the industry to go and work for Brainwave - a charity which supports children who have both physical and cognitive disabilities, whether caused by brain injury, genetic and chromosome abnormality, trauma or accident.
Paul explained why this major change in direction. “As you may know my daughter and son-in-law were involved in a serious car crash just before Christmas. Luckily my daughter was ok though Damien suffered serious head trauma and is now in the Brain Rehabilitation Unit at Bristol hospital. He is doing very well though we all know he will remain there for a long time; it is going to be a long, hard road to recovery. The accident and the subsequent events have had a big impact on me and my family and has made me realise what is really important in life and where my priorities should be.”
Paul, who hates flying, is preparing to do a tandem sky dive from 13000 feet. It is with the Red Devils so should be fairly safe (he keeps telling himself!!) Anyone who would like to sponsor him should contact him on 07769 657837. More information on the charity can be found at www.brainwave.org.uk
