In mid June, Jeremy Minchin (Sales Director - Hippychick) and 7 others facing a mid life crisis, attempted the notorious Three Peaks Challenge (climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hrs).
What seemed a good idea cooked up over a couple of beers became a real expedition as the wettest June on record dished up - 6 degree temperatures and 1.5 metres of snow at the top of Ben Nevis, horizontal hail and wind on Scafell Pike and deep mist on Snowdon.
The fact that it became a triumph over adversity made the aching bones and muscles seem all the more worthwhile and Hippychick would like to acknowledge and thank all retailers and other suppliers whose orders or support in June enabled the company to make a substantial donation of over £1000 to the charity. The Hospice has two centres, one outside Bristol and one in North Devon, that provide fantastic levels of care for terminally ill children and their families and are enormously grateful for the equipment that the money will buy - Jeremy is simply grateful that he doen't have to climb any more hills for a while!! Many thanks to you all.
