After a record number of entrants last year, the Practical Pre-School Awards 2007 nominations are now open. It covers all childcare products: from toys and education products to safety equipment, snuggle blankets and baby transport systems.
These awards will take place in September in London and will be accompanied by the launch of a brochure featuring all the winning products, which will be sent free to all Practical Pre-School subscribers. MA Education will run the awards.
The Practical Pre-School Awards are the only ones in the industry to use practitioners as judges. The 80 testers, who work across the childcare and education sector and care for 1,200 children, will be required to complete a comprehensive assessment of each product. To get a true, unbiased opinion, each product is sent to two or three settings.
The testers are required to give detailed comments on each product, which will be made available to the entrant after the results have been collated. Over the years, entrants have remarked that they have found these comments invaluable for product development.
If you have any products you would like to enter, entries must be in by the middle of May 2007.This year, the awards will be co-ordinated on behalf of Practical Pre-School by Evolution PR Ltd. To enter, or for more information, contact Alison Wren on 01327 701702 or email alison@evolution-pr.co.uk
