At the 2007 International Show, held earlier this year in Orlando, Florida, JPMA proudly donated all proceeds from the Industry Party, as well as product at the completion of the Show, to Kids In Distressed Situations, Inc. (K.I.D.S.). K.I.D.S. is a national charity that distributes donated juvenile products, clothes, toys, shoes, books, and other products through a network of more than 1,000 non-profit community organisations.
These agencies serve children living in poverty stricken communities, homeless shelters, and hospitals within the United States and abroad.
This year, more than 1,000 attendees took part in the much-anticipated Industry Party, held at Universal Studios New York Backlot Street Set. 100 percent of the proceeds collected, totaling nearly $27,000, were donated to K.I.D.S. At the conclusion of the Show, 100 exhibiting companies donated more than $111,000 worth of product to K.I.D.S., surpassing previous totals by more than $6,000.
