BPA Baby & Child appeals to green retailers
Published:  01 September, 2007

With only a few weeks to go until this year's BPA Baby & Child, the organisers have been busy updating the website and categorising exhibitors by their market sectors so enabling visitors to plan their days at the show. Visitors to www.babyandchildfair.co.uk using the category facility will notice that more than any other year there will be green streak prevalent at the show.

Organic and environmental products will be a major attraction and retailers wishing to source such products will be able to find plenty to choose from. New companies such as Cuddle Dry, Natures Purest and Close Parent will join others exhibiting luxury organic products perfect for the environmentally conscious parent. Plus many other companies not immediately thought of as organic will be showing products that fit well into the category such as John Crane's Pintoy and Pin furniture brands whose entire ranges carry the Thai Green logo for environmental excellence.

Helen Wooldridge, Co-director of Cuddledry Ltd commented “The BPA show has proved to be an excellent place for us to meet retailers who are looking for high quality products with organic credentials. At Cuddledry, our award-winning apron style bath towels have been designed in response to demand from parents for eco-friendly, premium baby products, so the event is an ideal showcase for us.”

In addition, staying with the organisers' commitment to improving practices throughout the industry, Envirowise are to be at the show. Envirowise delivers valuable government-funded programmes of free, confidential advice to UK businesses. This assistance enables companies to increase profitability and reduce environmental impact. They will be available for all exhibitors and visitors to speak to on their stand H100 and are also giving a seminar to those wishing a more in-depth talk.

Jenny Burrows, the event manager of BPA Baby & Child said of the green initiative at this year's show: “At the time that they become new parents, people naturally become more aware of the impact they have on our planet, and wish to make it a greener place for their newborn. It is only natural therefore that more organic baby products are becoming sought after making this a real growth sector. We feel that our show delivers a good selection for the discerning retailer to choose from.”
