Oral-B Stages, the UK's leading range of children's toothbrushes, has teamed up with Stop the Rot to help reduce tooth decay in the UK's under fives. Oral-B is working with Stop the Rot, a campaign promoting oral health in nursery children, to provide nurseries with the tools they need to help children learn how to look after their teeth.
Alarmingly, tooth decay affects half of the UK's children under five, but can easily be prevented through a good diet and oral care routine. Oral-B Stages and Stop the Rot are committed to reducing this problem nationwide and are calling on nurseries to help. Each nursery that signs up to Stop the Rot will agree to three 'tooth-friendly promises' and in return receive a fantastic Smile Like a Crocodile resource pack containing activity plans, reward charts, an interactive game and a hand puppet of the campaign mascot: Smiley the Crocodile who features on all materials, to help children discover how to brush and care for their teeth. The packs have been developed with the input of the dental experts at Oral-B and childcare experts at the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) who are delighted to be supporting the campaign.
