Thank You for visiting BPA Baby & Child 2007
Published:  16 November, 2007

Exhibitors are reporting record levels of business from this year's BPA Baby & Child so once again it's been proven that the quality of visitors is the most important criterion for a successful show.

Retailers who are focused on seeing all that's on offer, have the decision making capability and are ready and willing to place orders then and there, this is the profile of visitors to BPA Baby & Child.

We spend a lot of time and effort in our pre-show marketing campaigns and through our sifting and filtration of enquiries we ensure that only real retailers with decision making authority get to come to our show. This of course leaves exhibitors free to deliver their proposition to people that matter.

One thing that became apparent at the show was that even now, after all the publicity, not all retailers were aware that the show is owned and managed by the Baby Products Association. It was also apparent that not all retailers were aware of their own trade association that was specifically created recently to support and promote the nursery products retailer and their needs. I am referring to BPA Retail.

BPA Retail is a sister trade association of the BPA that has its own management council and operates independently of the BPA. BPA Retail was only launched a few months ago and membership is growing steadily. What this of course means is that if you're a member of BPA Retail then effectively BPA Baby & Child is your very own show.

Members of BPA Retail did receive a number of privileges during the course of the show, including a special BPA Retail lounge, VIP parking and exclusive special offers from a number of suppliers. Apart from being the retailers' voice wherever it matters and providing valuable knowledge, guidance and experience and a retailers' information exchange there are so many other membership services and benefits associated with BPA Retail.

So the message is clear, if you are a nursery products retailer who wants to be recognised as the epitome of best practice in your sector, a retailer who wants to help support and maintain your very own baby products exhibition and wants to receive privileges and benefits as a result then make sure you join today. www.bpa-retail.org or 0845 456 9587.

BPA HELPS STEER THE DEVELOPMENT OF BEST PRACTICE IN TRADE ASSOCIATIONS

The Trade Association Forum (TAF) based at the offices of the CBI in London is an organisation that benchmarks trade associations from across all sectors and helps promote and develop best practice within them to ensure they deliver in every way to their members the very best performance in terms of representation and support. In addition the TAF acts as a catalyst bringing trade associations together in matters of common interest so that we may speak with one very powerful voice.

The TAF is supported and administered by the CBI with additional support from the DTI now known by that memorable title of the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform! The Forum is an unincorporated body operating with guidance from a Steering Group of trade association representatives. This year we at the BPA have been voted on to the TAF Steering Group.
