This year's fair is sold out with over 200 toy, games and hobby companies exhibiting. Of course many of these stands are not of interest to the nursery retailer, but some such as Flair, Hippychick, John Crane and others too numerous to mention are definitely brands which sell well in a nursery environment.
One area which may be of interest is the toy safety area which has been introduced for 2008. Organised by the BTHA, the area is being designed to demonstrate the industry's commitment to the safety of toys and the children who play with them. Everyone is welcome to visit the toy safety area, where they will be able to watch a brand new safety film about toy safety featuring the individual rigorous tests that toys are subjected to before they come to market. They will also be able to see, first hand, some of these testing procedures.
A visit to Toy Fair can be definitely worthwhile.
