New year brings team growth for Rainbow
Published:  21 February, 2008

Rainbow Designs is ringing in the New Year with changes and additions to its sales and marketing functions following a second year of sales growth under the guidance of Managing Director Anthony Temple.

The name behind classics such as Paddington Bear, Miffy and the Beatrix Potter characters has brought two new key employees on board - Vinka Beecroft as Brand Product Manager and Lindsay Koekemoer as Sales and Telesales Assistant.

Vinka will be responsible for Rainbow's growing brand and trade marketing requirements including advertising, PR, catalogues and licensing agent liaison. Vinka, formerly of Hit Entertainment and Hallmark Cards, Australia, will be based at the Hammersmith office.

As Sales and Telesales Assistant, Lindsay will work to strengthen and support Rainbow's territory sales administration as well as assist in new account prospecting, and will be based in Fareham, Hampshire.

"This is an exciting time of change and progression for Rainbow," said Anthony Temple. "The new team members will play a valuable role in ensuring Rainbow's future growth continues in the same successful vein."

Promotions have also taken place with Zara Grindrod in the new position of Director of Sales. Zara will provide a focused lead to Rainbow's Key Accounts and Field Sales business in addition to continuing to develop its future national accounts.

Alys Keith-Lucas is now Product Development Manager and is directly responsible for all of Rainbow's new product development and Far East sourcing.

"We are delighted to promote Zara and Alys who have worked so hard to help Rainbow achieve its goals over the last two years and their new positions will help prepare for further expansion and success in 2008," Anthony added.

Its licensed character gift ranges include Paddington Bear, Miffy, The World of Beatrix Potter, Snoopy ‘Original since 1950' and Wallace & Gromit, and is a children's book specialists offering more than 125 character titles.
