Tomy stakes its claim on being Britain's most exciting nursery and pre-school toy company as it extends its distinctive Discovery developmental toy range.
Tomy's Discovery range of toys are all innovatively designed to appeal to babies and toddlers, to help them discover the world around them in a fun and engaging way.
Each toy in the Discovery range has unique features that differentiate from other toys in the market. With colours and shapes, movement and textures, the range has been designed to stimulate young minds and aid and encourage development through interactive play. Tomy has re-packaged the Discovery range to reinforce the ‘Discovery' brand position and showcase the distinctive features.
New to the range this year is the Discovery Forget-Me-Not Photo Album. This cute butterfly shaped album is unique in that it not only holds pictures of baby's loved ones, but also their voices with an option for recording a message to accompany each of the eight photos. An incredible 100% of respondents who were presented with the concept said that they would buy this product.
The cute photo album is incredibly tactile, with crinkly page tabs, a mirror on the front and a soft rubber antennae on the butterfly, all appealing to young babies' inquisitive fingers. The album can also be stood upright so that when it's not being used it will act as a photo frame and is perfect for displaying on baby's mantelpiece.
Available from June 2008, GRP £19.99. Suitable for babies aged 6m+.
Tomy has also relaunched the hugely successful Discovery Dome with the feature packed Discovery Dome Deluxe, a highly interactive playhouse packed with even more fun, developmental activities for toddlers to discover.
Each of the four walls has been designed to develop baby's manual dexterity and introduce colours, shapes and numbers. The new Discovery Dome Deluxe now has a bell that can be rung by toddlers to announce their arrival to the dome! Pop a ball in the top cup of the new Moving Cup wall and watch it quickly drop down from cup to cup on the inside and outside of the Dome. The balls can also be posted through the Ball Pocket wall and then released with little one's very own set of coloured and shaped sorting keys. It also has a helter skelter ball wall with five balls that zoom down inside and outside the Dome. The rattling noise they make as they whizz along is bound to delight.
The Discovery Dome Deluxe has four big ‘paw' feet for stability and a mesh viewing window on the roof for parents to easily see inside, and is now even easier to disassemble for easier storage.
The Discovery Dome Deluxe costs £44.99 and is available from June 2008.
Tomy will continue to sell the recently launched Discovery KaleidoDisc Lightshow and Activity Centre (£34.99 rrp), the cheeky, colourful Discovery Swap ‘n' Roll Snail (£19.99 rrp) and its engrossing stacking tower, Discovery Stack Pop ‘n' Tumble (£14.99 rrp).
