Susanne Chishti has been shortlisted as best Female INventor 2008 for her Yes! Superbaby accessories. The mother who noticed that her babies were always pulling on everything she wore, came up with the idea after trying to juggle a demanding baby with other tasks.
Her little ones did not want to stay in their beautiful play gyms by themselves but preferred to be in her arms while she tried to do the daily multi-tasking at home. She soon decided it would be great to have wearable accessories for parents which stimulate and entertain the baby while helping the parent multi-task on the phone, internet or even while travelling?
So Susanne created the now famous musical scarves which were featured on ITV's This Morning as one of the best baby gadgets in the UK.
Before Christmas she faced the Dragons in Dragons Den resulting in Peter Jones' comment: ‘The idea is brilliant. This will definitely, definitely, definitely sell. This sort of stuff catches on.' And now the panel of judges at the British Female Innovators and Inventors Awards 2008 have agreed and shortlisted Susanne for the best business idea. For further information see http://www.yessuperbaby.co.uk/.
