Frugi, a small, organic clothing company had triple successes at Cornwall's Business Awards recently, including the most coveted of all; The Winner of Winners award.
Thrilled that they had won the ‘Best Innovation' and ‘Entrepreneur of the Year' awards, the pioneering Cornish team were bowled over by the results.
Co-owner Lucy Jewson said, ‘We've worked really hard for the last 4 years and have risked everything that we own to get this business off the ground. We don't always follow the most conventional ways of doing things, as everything we do has to feel right socially and environmentally first, but we have always been out to prove that this strategy can actually make a really interesting and successful business!'
Already previous winners of Best Exporter Award 2007 (due to their significant export sales), and Silver Award winners as Best New Business in 2006, Frugi currently has customers in 28 countries and over 200 retail outlets in the UK.
It's been a great month for Frugi; ‘Ethical' consumer magazine has been investigating clothing companies making green claims.
They rated Frugi as the top ethical baby clothing company in the UK, beating many high street giants such as Marks and Spencer and Top Shop.
