In this issue I'd like to introduce you to the first members of our new expert panel. All will be contributing to the magazine on a regular basis, ensuring the features and comments on a wide variety of issues concerning the industry, are up to date, valid and of course grounded in fact. And we've more contributors to come, so watch this space next month.

In TradeTalk on page 18, Lucy Jewson takes a look at the subject that's been keeping the supermarkets busy recently - packaging, and how suppliers could shed unnecessary waste, and green up the minimum materials they do need to use.

As the BPA's Peter White says on page 17,  the shadow of economic downturn hasn't gone away, so it could be a good time to check out the legal implications of reducing your staff overheads. Solictor Michael Morse warns against rushing into quick decisions on page 15.

And if you've not quite got your head around the whole Isofix concept, Louise Iles from Halfords clarifies just how the Stage 1 and 2 designs should be fitted on page 23, and why they are so much better than the standard car seats.

Finally it's National Smile Month so get your knashers out! Grinning inanely at strangers is perhaps taking things too far, but why not take a peek at TalkingPoint on page 20, which talks you through how babies' teeth develop and what advice you should be giving out to parents and carers.

Please note I've changed my email address so please send your news press releases to me at emmapeters@talktalk.net

Warm Wishes

Emma
