Pampers® and UNICEF are delighted to announce that, thanks to the support of parents across the UK and Ireland, over 7.4 million of the most vulnerable mothers and babies around the world will be protected against tetanus – over 1 million more than the initial target.
Pampers joined forces with UNICEF at the end of 2006 to ensure that millions of vulnerable mothers and their babies, living in some of the most remote areas in the poorest countries, could be protected against maternal and neonatal tetanus. For each special UNICEF pack of Pampers nappies sold during November and December 2006, Pampers provided UNICEF with the funding for one tetanus vaccination. By choosing Pampers, mums and dads helped protect the world’s most vulnerable babies, and their mothers, with these life-saving vaccinations.
