A panel of industry experts including executives at Habitat, Lakeland, John Lewis and Debenhams, as well as independent retailers and journalists, have chosen many eco-friendly products to win Gift of the Year 2008 across 16 key categories.
Traditionally this competition gives an important indication of what will be the biggest selling gifts for Christmas. The products were judged on originality and innovation, retail cost and quality of manufacture.
Winners in the Kids cateogries were The Very Hungry Caterpillar from Portmeirion Potteries Ltd, Croshettas by Jellycat Ltd, and Baby Socks Gift Box by American Modern. Eco-friendly winners included ‘I Am Not A Paper Cup'from Apollo Business Ltd, Solar Torch by Addject, and Dinosaur Pupper Kit from Crafty Kids Ltd.
