The name behind classics such as Paddington Bear, Miffy and the Beatrix Potter characters is ringing in the New Year with the appointment of a new Marketing Assistant following a third year of sales growth under the guidance of Managing Director Anthony Temple.
Rainbow Designs has brought Rowann Blair on board to oversee its growing brand and trade marketing requirements including advertising, PR, catalogues and licensing agent liaison. Rowann, 23, has formerly worked for Mosiac Fashions under the Oasis brand and will be based at the Hammersmith office.
"The last few years have seen Rainbow go from strength to strength and we are delighted to be welcoming Rowann to the team," said Anthony Temple. "Rowann will play a key role in ensuring the Rainbow brand remains strong and consistent in order to prepare it for further expansion in 2009."
Further recruitment has also taken place at Rainbow's Fareham, Hampshire warehouse. Nicki Davidson, 39, joins the team as a Key Accounts Co-ordinator and brings with her a wealth of sales experience including running her own computer retail business for seven years. Becky Maynard, 21, is Rainbow's new Sales Administrator and is a graduate in Film and Entertainment Technology from Portsmouth University.
Established in 1971, Rainbow Designs has become one of the country's leading gift, toy and nursery companies. Its licensed character gift ranges include The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Snoopy ‘Original since 1950' and Wallace & Gromit, and is a children's book specialist offering more than 125 character titles.
