When it comes to fixing the seat in the car, at least 75% rely on the seat belt to keep the infant seat securely in place. Over 80% of parents surveyed have experienced the seat belt securing that infant seat coming adrift while driving.
Bucklesafe has been designed to prevent the release of the safety belt buckle securing the infant seat - whether that's inadvertently or accidentally. The product has been designed and manufactured in the UK by Ian Berg Plastics Ltd - a small privately owned company in the West Country.
Managing Director Bob Hanks commented: "BUCKLESAFE! is our first ‘own product' venture - we have the skills and expertise to design and manufacture for others - this time we are doing it for ourselves. Its success will undoubtedly save lives and protect children travelling by car and at the same time it will help keep us busy during the current downturn in the overall economy."
