The ABC Kids Expo was launched in September of 2003, utilising 10,500 net square meters at the Las Vegas Convention Center. "In five short years The ABC Kids Expo grew to become the largest trade show for the juvenile products industry in the Western Hemisphere. Now heading into our seventh year, we have grown to our present size of 33,200 net square meters, with more than 900 exhibitors displaying their newest and most innovative products throughout our expansive exhibit space," said a spokesperson.

The ABC Kids Expo is a private trade show for the juvenile products industry and is not open to the general public. The main focus of the expo is on products from newborn through to teen, predominantly in the areas of furniture, bedding, room décor, baby gear, gift & layette, nursing & feeding, toys and related accessories.

New Product Showcase (NPS) has become a highlight and much anticipated focal point of the event. The 2008 NPS featured a variety of over 200 products from more than 100 manufacturers. There is a special media preview reception the night before the grand opening of the exhibit hall. This two hour reception allows the media to see the hot new products being introduced for the coming year. Many of these products receive international publicity via the internet, before the expo begins.

In 2008 the show debuted its Naturally Kids® range of juvenile products manufacturers, focused on producing environmentally friendly products which are healthy for both families and young children, as well as demonstrating a responsibility to the planet and its natural resources. This juried section of the show represents a comprehensive collection of manufacturers within numerous product categories.

Another highlight in the exhibit hall is the popular Modern Child® section. This four year old showcase of juvenile products manufacturers focuses on contemporary design and high functionality.

Also juried, manufacturer's products are reviewed annually in order to maintain compliance with Modern Child's selection criteria.
