Jerome Davies, 32, from Daventry, whose 3 year old daughter Holly was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy last year, is running the London Marathon for the first time to help the Stars Foundation for Cerebral Palsy purchase a new Liberator - a communication aid that can transform lives. Already Jerome has been pledged £1000 from Maclaren - the Northamptonshire based parenting company.
Comments Jo Ebdon, Maclaren marketing manager, "Jerome's mother Mim works for Maclaren and when she told us that Jerome was running the marathon for Holly we immediately wanted to sponsor him. Maclaren is a company rooted in family values - Owen Maclaren invented the first buggy when he saw his daughter struggling with her cumbersome pram - so a story like Jerome's immediately resonated. We wish him luck in the Marathon and hope the Stars Foundation, which does so much to help people with Cerebral Palsy, achieves its goal of a new Liberator."
