Baby hygiene expert Milton is to sponsor a new guide for parents who are taking their premature babies home from hospital.
The guide will be an integral part of the new ‘Going Home’ packs for parents of premature babies, co-ordinated by Bliss, the special care baby charity, who provide vital support and care to premature and sick babies. The packs will also contain vouchers for baby products suitable for premature babies and vital information to help make the process of taking a premature baby home as smooth as possible.
Currently, all new parents are given baby packs in the maternity ward but the new Bliss packs will be tailored specifically to the needs of parents of premature and sick babies to provide a more appropriate source of information.
Suzanne Potter, Milton Marketing Manager, said: “It is great that there is so much support out there for new mums but for some parents who have had a baby who has arrived early or who is particularly small, the experience of taking their baby home can be completely different.
“Premature babies tend to be more vulnerable to infections due to their under-developed immune system and need more protection than ever against harmful germs. By supporting Bliss, Milton are passing on more than 60 years of experience to help parents protect their babies from germs, and we are delighted to be supporting the Going Home Guide.”
Simon Crowson, Partnership Manager for Bliss, said: “We are delighted that Milton is supporting the new Going Home Guide, helping us to help parents of premature babies. Milton’s expertise in protecting babies fits well with Bliss, and we’re excited to be launching the new packs with their help.”
Milton offers a full range of products designed to keep a baby’s environment germ-free, including Sterilising Fluid, Sterilising Tablets, Antibacterial Surface Wipes, Antibacterial Surface Spray, Antibacterial Hand Gel and a new Antibacterial Fabric Solution.
