Childcare and Nursery Show steps up a gear
Published:  15 June, 2009

This year, for the first time, The Childcare and Nursery Show has organised a schedule of seminars which will take place over the show's two day stay at Olympia. The Childcare and Nursery Show 2009, which takes place on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 June, is being billed as `the biggest and best event for everyone in the childcare business'.

The seminar and meeting programme is being sponsored by The Childcare Company and will be officially opened with a Key Note Speech delivered by Sir Christopher Ball. Sir Christopher is a former lecturer at Oxford, among other top universities. He has authored and co-authored many ground breaking papers on the development of childcare theory and practice, including the Start Right Report.

In his speech, `What Children Need', Sir Christopher will explain the `NESTLE' theory of childcare: Nurture, Exercise, Stimulation, Talk, Love and Environment. He will consider how far present provision delivers, or falls short of, excellence in these respects from the point of view of the child.
