Clippasafe's award-winning Bump Belt (RRP £19.99) has been helping protect unborn babies and mothers-to-be whilst travelling by car for over a decade, by enabling expectant mothers to safely and comfortably wear their seat belt on every journey they make.
The child safety product manufacturer has identified an alarming trend of pregnant women who don't wear their seatbelts, due to discomfort in the latter stages of pregnancy.
To this end, Clippasafe is campaigning to take up the matter in Parliament, in order to introduce tighter laws that identify this safety risk.
Research shows that conventional seatbelts can ride up across the pregnant woman's bump, and in the event of a low speed collision or even heavy braking, could transfer seat belt pressure directly onto the womb, proving incredibly harmful for both mother and child.
