"As a Mother of three with a background in design, my first daughter Lily developed a terrible heat rash and had problems sleeping.

From research I carried out, I found that from newborn - 12 months babies have trouble regulating temperature whilst they sleep. Synthetic fibres only compound the problem as they do not breathe, but trap moisture. This causes either over heating or a "chill zone". Trapped moisture also irritates the child's skin and creates heat rashes or eczema.

The original home of Merino Kids, New Zealand is one of the leading countries in the research of SIDS.  The Merino Kids baby sleep bag has been designed with the research from SIDS in mind:

It promotes baby sleeping on their back and is sleeveless to allow complete air circulation whilst in the cot. It regulates temperature, meaning baby is never too hot or too cold and is designed to ensure that baby never gets tangled in bedding.

Merino is the wonder fibre and the perfect fabric to care for young children.  It has been nurtured by nature and ensures a perfect microclimate for baby and infant every time. Merino breathes, removes moisture away from baby's skin and helps regulate temperature.

The natural temperature regulation and generous product sizing means that they prove to be the most economical investment required."
