This newly developed product has been designed to help reduce the number of scalding accidents involving children. The device works by restricting the ability to operate a domestic hot tap to adult users.
Developed by Ian Elliott, an R&D Engineer, TapStrapTM is an inexpensive, easy fit device that suits one of the most popular tap head styles on the market.
The initial driver for the product development came when Ian witnessed the trauma of a young mother, whose child had been scalded in a bath. Development began in earnest once research had identified an absence of this type of device on the market.
Currently patent pending this innovative safety device is ready to market in conjunction with a suitable partner.
