Lascal - 17 years of market leading design
Published:  02 October, 2009

Jöran Lundh, the genius behind Lascal's market leading products has been designing innovative, imaginative products for over 17 years. The first KiddyBoard was launched in Sweden in 1992 and Lascal has been forging ahead ever since.

Today, the Lascal portfolio encompasses a whole range of truly ingenious products for parents - from the very latest BuggyBoard® to the KiddyGuardTM ‘invisible stairgate' and the cutting edge Lascal M1 carrierTM.

Each new Lascal product has either revolutionized the nursery sector it has entered, or created an entirely new one.

The NEW BuggyBoard MAXI & BuggyBoard MINI

The result of a decade of continuous improvement and market leading expertise, the new BuggyBoard MAXI and BuggyBoard MINI are the easiest boards to attach to your pushchair yet!

The new MAXI successfully combines durability, adaptability and simplicity, whilst providing greater comfort for both child and parent. Improvements include thicker rubber wheels; a sturdier platform and improved connectors with a rotating head and a longer, flexible strap, thus increasing the number of prams, pushchairs and strollers the MAXI will fit.

The MINI is a more compact model and is designed specifically to fit simpler, more ‘classic' buggies. Replacing the old ‘Basic' model it has undergone some style improvements and now shares the same arms and cotter pins as the MAXI. Connectors and wheels are now interchangeable between the two models.

Launched in the UK in 1999, the BuggyBoard proved an instant hit, and is now a familiar site on every High Street. It remains by far the easiest and safest way to travel with a toddler and baby in tow, as anywhere a buggy will go, the BuggyBoard will follow!

Small children can hop on and enjoy the ride whenever they feel tired or are unable to keep up. Perfect in crowds or high traffic areas, it allows mum to go at her own pace and navigate narrow aisles, doorways and tight corners, whilst keeping her toddler close at hand.

Lascal M1 Carrier

Featured on the front cover this month, the M1 Carrier offers unrivalled adjustability, supreme comfort and a cutting edge design that appeals to both parents.

The first carrier to use anti-chafe padded bamboo fabric around the arm and leg openings, it is packed with innovative, adjustable features to provide maximum comfort and support at each stage of the child's development. These include the pouch width and seat height adjusters; flexible spine support and an adjustable head support which cradles a newborn's fragile head and later folds down to catch dribbles when baby is ready to face forward. Made in soft, eco-friendly bamboo fabric, the top cover on the head support can be removed for easy cleaning.

For ultimate parent comfort, the M1 features wide, breathable harness straps and a ventilated lumbar support to relieve stress on the back and shoulders.

Fully machine washable, the Lascal M1 Carrier is available in a choice of 5 exciting colours.

KiddyGuard

The only stairgate to roll away completely, the ingenious KiddyGuard is space saving, practical and stylish, discreetly fitting in with any home décor.

Made from a tough, plasticized, wipe-clean fabric, the gate rolls out to cover any gap up to 130cms wide. Once hooked into place, it provides a taut and secure safety barrier able to withstand an impact of up to 100kg. Open it and it rolls up and virtually disappears, leaving the way clear. There is no unsightly swinging gate to get in the way and no horizontal bar to trip over!
