Build-A-Bear embraces Performance Brands

Performance Brands is pleased to announce that it will represent the licensing rights of the Build-A-Bear Workshop. The Build-A-Bear Workshop offers the opportunity for children to build themselves a custom-made stuffed animal. The toys are fashioned in workshops and customers can choose from over 30 different animals and a variety of outfits and accessories.

Brand building specialist, Performance Brands has already expanded its kid's brand portfolio by signing new properties including Planet Cook and Numberjacks.

The Build-A-Bear brand follows its policy of only working with kid's brands which encourage learning and social interaction.

"We are looking for licenses in other markets with brands whose values align with those of the Build-A-Bear concept and have the same target audience," said David Ball, joint MD of Performance Brands. "We are looking forward to working with the Build-A-Bear Workshop. It's a truly amazing concept that encourages creativity and imagination in children."
