I found myself wondering this week where the year has gone! Since I began here in March the months have flown by - first stop was the Harrogate show, then the much anticipated Kind + Jugend, and only last month my very first Baby & Child. As sponsors of the Launchpad I naturally felt very supportive toward Baby & Child and so I was delighted when the doors opened Sunday morning and the hall soon filled with excited visitors, all keen to discover the ‘next big thing'.

As a magazine we want to be as relevant as we can and talking to retailers like you is an integral part of that.

What I discovered at BPA Baby & Child is that there are many nursery shops opened in the last few months or due to open soon, which can only be a good thing for the Industry. I met him at the show and in an open and honest account, Neal Higham fills us in on his first six months in the Industry as the owner of Baybeez, the only baby shop in Tamworth.

In Ni Education meanwhile, we ask: "Just who is driving the trends here?" In a short snapshot of the industry we look at how changing lifestyle patterns are driving product design by talking to a manufacturer, a retailer and an expectant mum.

All this in addition to a BPA Baby & Child Product Showcase, Safety in the Home, Car Seats & Accessories, Natural & Organic and Highchairs & Feeding.

Finally, keep up with the news, hear what Peter White has to say and find out more about credit control from Michael Morse.
