Over 230 applications have been shortlisted to a 30-strong group, aimed at celebrating in style the achievements of women who were born to "Ride, Survive and Succeed the Roller Coaster of Life!"

Solvej Biddle gave up her high flying career as an advertising lawyer to start a new business inventing, designing and bringing new products to market that make parenting that little bit easier.  Since May 09 when Solvej launched her first product, the multi-award winning Cot Canopy, she has brought two further products to market, ProtectiShade and TrayKit, both arriving in stores next month and has a fourth product which is patent pending.    

Solvej commented: “My feet haven’t touched the ground since my business started a year ago.  There have been many highs and lows, but I am loving this new career in manufacturing and retailing and I’m also acting as a mentor to other fledgling start-ups.  Being short listed for this award is the icing on the cake.”
