CLOSE PARENT APPOINTS NEW SALES MANAGER
Published:  01 July, 2010

Heidi Brown from Hemel Hempstead has been appointed as Sales Manager for the ethical baby company, Close Parent.

Married with two daughters aged two and four, Heidi joins with over fifteen years of sales and marketing expertise.

Attracted by Close Parent’s family-friendly work ethos and ethically produced baby products, Heidi believes that she can achieve career enhancement without missing out on her children growing up.

Heidi said: “I was looking for a complete change and having been immersed in baby products for the last five years, I am confident I can bring personal experience as well as sales expertise to the role.

“Close Parent has a range of great products that work beautifully and are gorgeous to look at – a perfect combination for hard pressed, time poor and design appreciative parents.  I am thoroughly enjoying my first few weeks at Close.”

Heidi has spent time with Close Parent’s growing number of independent customers and is impressed with what she has seen.

She said: “There is such a pressure on the independents to keep up with the ‘science’ and legislation, yet remain practical and up-to-date on the latest ‘must-have’ product.

“There are so many products on the market to overwhelm particularly new parents, baby manufacturers such as Close Parent and leading independent retailers have a role to play in encouraging parents to trust their instinct.  Having the right products can make all the difference, that’s why recommending the right sling or the nappy is so important.  Trust is cornerstone to any good relationship whether that be between a retailer and a customer or a retailer and a supplier.”

Close Parent manufacture the Close Baby Carrier, an organic award-winning sling and the pop-in™ birth-to-potty reusable nappies.  www.closeparent.com
