Kind + Jugend 2010: Anniversary with Fashion High Street and Kids' Fashion Show
Published:  23 July, 2010

Kind + Jugend (16th-19th September 2010) will begin with a surprise to mark its fiftieth anniversary: On the basis of their own trade fair history, exhibitors from the fields of fashion and design will be presenting their products on a Fashion High Street in Hall 11.3. The result will be a shopping street for products, collections and product lines from the area of children's fashion, such as clothing for babies and children, textiles and accessories.

"We will round out the unique atmosphere of style, design and quality by presenting kids' fashion shows on each day of the fair," says Oliver P. Kuhrt, Koelnmesse Executive Vice President, regarding the realization of the anniversary concept. The supporters of the fashion shows program include the Europäischer Verband für Kindermode und Kinderfürsorge (European Association for Children's Fashions and Welfare) and Children's Fashion Europe (CFE). The company Luna Media GmbH has come on board as a media partner and is organizing a "Luna Lounge", which will be a gathering place for trade visitors, exhibitors and journalists. The collections presented at the fashion shows - which already include those of the Spanish designer Agatha Ruiz de la Prada - will also be on show in the lounge. Tutto piccolo, Noppies, blue seven (Obermeyer) and Review (Peek & Cloppenburg) have already booked as well.
