The Baby Show For Trade on track for significantly bigger event in October 2011
Improving the business performance of retailers the focus for the 2011 event
Published:  17 January, 2011

The enthusiastic response that the Baby Show For Trade received as the doors closed on its launch last October has continued into the new year as the next show continues to take shape. Organisers Clarion Events are delighted to have contracted over 55 companies already including Dorel, Britax, Chicco, Graco, Maclaren, Silver Cross, Kiddy, Hippychick and Cheeky Rascals leaving the best positions at a premium already.

Plans for 2011 (16 – 18 October 2011, Olympia, London) focus on brand new initiatives to ply retailers with all the tools they need to improve the performance of their business. The show will continue to offer visitors a stellar line-up of new and innovative products and a wide variety of brands, but crucially October’s event will also focus on case studies, business skills, training and expert advice.

Show Director Rob Collins explains: “We are determined to make the show the ultimate destination for every baby and nursery retailer. Even this far from show we have an impressive line-up of top baby and nursery names, both market leaders and innovative new entrants, but we understand that good retailing is about more than products.

We want to call on the industry to tell us what they want to see at the show. Once we have collated this information we will transform this into compelling and heavyweight features with this specific aim of increasing retailers’ profit.”

Clarion will unveil details of a significant and wide-ranging research project in the coming weeks but in the meantime they encourage as much feedback as possible through their LinkedIn Group (search for The Baby Show For Trade), on twitter (www.twitter.com/BabyShow_Trade) or by emailing Rob directly at  rob.collins@clarionevents.com

Favourites return and new features launch

The Baby Show For Trade favourite Rattles to Riches will definitely be back in 2011 bringing its own brand of ‘Dragons Den’ style drama to the show. Watch this space in spring for further announcements on the format and how to get involved.

A brand new Midwifery Conference will run alongside the event next October designed to deliver a new raft of midwives and health professionals to the show. New features are set to emerge after being sculpted from the upcoming research results and these will certainly include targeting key international retail visitors.
