Bounty launches major new consumer baby product guide
Published:  21 March, 2011

Bounty, the UK’s favourite baby club, has today announced that it will launch a new baby product guide for pregnant women.

Bounty is already well known to generations of mums for its guides to pregnancy and birth, contained within its highly successful Bounty sample packs which are given to mums through maternity wards and retailers Sainsbury’s and Boots. Now, the Company is launching a dedicated baby product guide, which will give expert product information, advice and tips on all the gear a mum can expect to buy before the birth of her baby. With a print run of 375,000 copies, this will become mums’ purchasing bible.

With sections on nursery furniture, car seats, prams and pushchairs, bathing, changing and more, the guide will be given to all pregnant women along with the Bounty sample pack received at the start of the woman’s third trimester of pregnancy, just when she is planning major purchases for her new baby. Bounty’s sample packs reach around 96% of all first time mums, starting with a pack on the first scan at around 12 weeks.

Bounty Product Editor Sally J. Hall says, “Bounty is already well known and trusted by health professionals and the families they care for. Providing mums with a comprehensive guide presented in an easy to understand way will provide an excellent resource, enabling mums to choose between all the products on the market when expecting their new baby. They can keep and continually refer to the guide for the first two years of their baby’s life.” She also comments, “The Guide will enable companies who make products for the baby market to achieve unrivalled coverage of their target market in one publication, as this will be the largest product-based baby equipment guide provided in the UK by a consumer publisher.”

Consumer Champion for Bounty, Faye Mingo says, “Our members tell us they want trusted product advice that helps them to buy what they need and what’s best for their family. Bounty is utilising its expertise and giving value to mum by helping her make those important choices – and also helping her to avoid buying unnecessary or overly expensive goods.”

In addition to the print version, the Guide will be rolled out across Bounty’s popular website, bounty.com, where mums will be able to review product features and to upload their own comments and recommendations, making the website the best resources an expectant or new mum can utilise.
