David Welsh, The UK Managing Director of Chicco, has elected to move on after 20 years at the company.
David launched Chicco in the UK and is leaving the business firmly established in the baby market. David commented: ‘I am extremely proud of my achievements and the success that I have brought to this business. After 20 dedicated years, the time is right for me to take my experience to new challenges. I thank the toy and nursery customers for their long-term support together with our retail partners and all the great staff here at Chicco. I am proud to leave behind a successful company that has a great future’.
The Artsana Group, Italian owners of the Chicco brand, thanked David for his professionalism and dedication and for his style and personality, which helped to make the business a success. They also wished David well with whatever he chooses in the future.
Artsana has also confirmed that they have been successful in finding a replacement for David. Mitch Levene will take over as Managing Director.
