Cartamundi, the leading playing card maker has teamed up with Morrisons and The Walt Disney Company UK & Ireland to create a sparkling summer sales promotion in the UK. Developed by leading sales promotion agency, Billington Cartmell, the “Disney Magical Moments” promotion has been designed exclusively for Morrisons and leverages classic Disney characters to continue celebrating Disneyland Paris’s Magical Moments Festival.
The seven week summer promotion began on the 11th July and will run until 28th August, with an estimated quarter of a billion collector cards manufactured by Cartamundi and given away across supermarket shopping and participating products. A pack is given out for every complete £30 spent, with additional packs also available by purchasing any one of 140 big brands in store.
The collector mechanic is a first for the UK market, with 7 Disney character cards in each pack, from Mickey Mouse to “Toy Story’s” Buzz Lightyear; 99 cards to collect in total, divided into Disney character ‘families’; and collector albums available in-store at £3.99. Children will have endless fun collecting, swapping and playing Happy Families or the Trumps Game.
The magic will be topped off with 1,000 instant-win gold cards for a two night family stay -Disneyland Paris’ biggest ever giveaway of this kind in the UK.
