After 10 years of successfully building Splash About from an idea to keep children warm in water, through the early years of Robin cutting, Desri sewing and  then the whole family packing the products watching Disney films, to playing a major role in the development of the baby swimming movement and raising awareness of the need for sun protection, Desri and Robin Goodwin have sold part of Splash About to bring in investors with skills and experience beyond theirs to help take the company to the next level and beyond.

Desri, the inventor of the BabyWrap and the Happy Nappy (the only nappy insisted upon by baby swim schools in the UK and around the world) and most of the products produced by Splash About, will continue to be totally involved as Managing Director with more time for designing and developing new products, working with the Splash About agents and distributors and enhancing the brand world wide.

Robin, who invented the original Neoprene Float Jacket with adjustable buoyancy system many years ago, will  now have time to come up with other innovative product ideas and follow his chosen career as an NLP practitioner.

Aimee is launching Splash About in France right now and both she and Joel – who has packed more float jackets than anyone - having grown up with Splash About ,and inspired the first range, are brimming with ideas from marketing to products and are as passionate about Splash About as ever.

The exciting new team is made up of Lesley Beach: Financial Director, Colin Wright: chairman and non executive directors Mike Carter (IT) and Jeremy Carr on behalf of his Energize Capital investors.

The future looks bright for Splash About as this will establish them more than ever in a wider global market as The products of choice for Baby swimming, Sun protection and learn to swim products.

Desri would like to thank everyone who has worked with Splash About over the years for their loyalty and support, it has been and continues to be very much appreciated!
