CLOSE CHOOSES COLOGNE TO LAUNCH ‘NEW GENERATION’ PRODUCTS
Published:  12 September, 2011

Close, the company best known for producing well-considered baby goods, is launching a new range of wonderfully made products at Kind + Jugend.

Since exhibiting at last year’s exhibition, Close has undergone a major rebranding exercise. The result is a truly engaging brand – both in terms of visual appeal and tone – which is reflected across its new marketing and product packaging.

Caboo+ organic

The new Caboo + organic carrier, based on the multi-award winning Close Baby Carrier, incorporates a toggle on the wrap designed to cup baby’s bottom and provides a streamlined effect to the carrier. The new style packaging – featuring lifestyle photography and carrying positions – allows for consumers to see the colour and feel the softness of the carrier through a cut out section on the box.

Caboo + organic, launched earlier this summer, has already received excellent reviews from consumers and trade. It is available in Totally Taupe, Winter Spice, Dark Denim, Frost Grey and Jungle Vibe.

Caboo DX

Close’s new paternal carrier – Caboo DX – to be launched in January 2012 will be previewed at Kind + Jugend.

Set to revolutionise the carrying market, its fusion design has been created to bridge the gap between a traditional carrier and a sling, capturing the benefits of both styles in a contemporary ‘pod’ form.

Designed to promote paternal nurturing and the best physiological position for baby, the Caboo DX has integral lumbar support and is fully adjustable for all body shapes. Its ‘active style’ encompasses the very best of the soft sling attributes – support for baby, correct frog-leg positioning and comfort for the wearer – yet also offers a more structured shape which will appeal to a wider audience, particularly dads. It has only one functional buckle on the pod – the rest is buckle free so it is very easy to use The Caboo DX range includes the ‘cocoon’ weather protector, a fully extendable protective cover, which can be used in the facing in or face-forward positions. The nifty universal clips mean it will fit all upright soft carriers.

Pop-In

The birth-to-potty nappy has also been upgraded and now features a unique fast-wicking panel built into the cover designed to keep excess moisture in the middle of the nappy . The stretchy tabs, aplix band and double-leg elasticated cuffs have also been improved to provide complete protection against leaks.

Available in two fabric choices – bamboo and minkee – the new pop-in will come in a range of bright fabrics and printed designs. The new pop-in will be launched in October

Bibs/Car seat protector

Close will also be showcasing their new stage 1 and stage 2 bibs along with a new car seat protector. All products will be available in exclusive Close prints.
