JUST ONE STAND LEFT FOR TOY FAIR 2012
Toy Fair – 24-26 January 2012, Olympia, London
Published:  13 September, 2011

With 19 weeks still to go until Toy Fair 2012, just one stand remains unsold and organiser the British Toy & Hobby Association expects the 59th annual event to sell out in record time.

188 exhibitors have been confirmed for Toy Fair, which takes place from 24-26 January 2012 in the Grand and West Halls of Olympia in London. 35 of these are first time exhibitors, 14 are returning with larger stands and three are making the move from the Greenhouse to the main floor.

New exhibitors include the likes of 50 Fifty Gifts, Battlefront Miniatures, Eleventyone, Fulanitos UK, Indigo Jamm, Melrose Kids, Posh Paws and The Wandering Monkey Company.

The following five quotes are from first time exhibitors:

Maxine Lewis, Founder, Gander Kids: “We’re really excited about exhibiting at Toy Fair, having visited last year. We can’t wait to show off the innovative toy products from our brands P’kolino and IVI, which are both new to the UK.”

Suzie Prax, Director, Verbum Vox: “We are a tiny company launching a key language game, and Toy Fair provides unprecedented exposure to the toy industry. It is a 'crucial' for us."

Ana Filipa Janine, Manager, Science4you: “Toy Fair is the perfect event to introduce Science4you to the UK toy market. The expansion to the UK is a main goal for our company and we’re very excited to be able to present our toys to the thousands of expected visitors.”

Tonia Webb, Director, Liberty House Toys (exclusive UK distributor for Guidecraft USA - creators of fine educational toys and furniture). “We are delighted to exhibit at the 2012 Toy Fair as this is an ideal opportunity to build brand identification and reach a mass audience.”

Frances Cain, Owner, A Girl for All Time: “A Girl for All Time is a unique range of gorgeous dolls, thrilling novels and keepsake books for girls aged eight plus. The Toy Fair is a great opportunity to showcase this new offering to the best and brightest in the industry.”

Aurora World, Bigjigs Toys, Cheatwell Games, Click Distribution, Cuckoo, Gear for Games & Underground Toys, Interplay UK, Marbel, Mondo UK, Mookie Toys, Papo UK, Plum Products, Rebel Toys, WEDGiTS and Worlds Apart are returning to Toy Fair 2012 with larger stands.

Mark Hillier, Managing Director of Click Distribution: “The London Toy Fair offers us the best platform to showcase our products to UK toy retailers. Since the move to Olympia the show has taken on a new lease of life, we have seen a significant increase in the amount of customers we see and the value of the business generated from those customers. Increasing our stand size was the next logical step to allow us to accommodate more customers and showcase more of our range. Next year we hope to see a further increase to customer leads and revenue generation."

Sam Ireland, Operations Manager, Bigjig Toys: “We have more than doubled the size of our stand for Toy Fair 2012. The show in 2011 was extremely successful for us, confirming our belief that Toy fair is the most important show of the year for us to showcase our latest product launches. We have some amazing new products and launch plans to present to our customers, old and new and look forward to meeting them all in 2012.”

Kelly Parsons, Marketing Manager, WEDGiTS: “We had a fantastic reception at the London Toy Fair this year and showcased many of the new products from TOLO toys including the new Dinosaur range. For 2012 we will have an even bigger presence to accommodate many more new products which we are eagerly looking forward to launch.

“It’s great news for Toy Fair - and testament to the increasing strength of the UK toy market - that so many new companies are attending the event for the first time in 2012, and 14 are in a position to take larger stands,” said Simon Pilling, Head of Toy Fair Operations and Sales.

Organised by the BTHA (British Toy & Hobby Association), the 59th Toy Fair will take place 24-26 January 2012 at Olympia Exhibition Hall. Registration is open now at www.toyfair.co.uk
