Last week was a week like no other for Gander Kids as the company collected the equivalent of an award a day! The UK-based toy and play furniture importer and distributor scooped two Practical Pre-School Awards, a Practical Parenting Magazine Award, Best Start Up at Mumpreneur UK and was listed in the O2 SMARTA100 business awards.
Maxine Lewis, founder of Gander Kids, said: “It’s been a truly amazing week. To have won all of these awards is testament to the quality of our products and our determination to provide innovative, new and stylish toys and play furniture retailers can offer UK consumers.
“Given we are not yet a year old, we are delighted to have received such widespread industry recognition. These awards deliver that independent endorsement that gives retailers the confidence to invest in our products, which means we can look forward to developing the business in 2012 and supporting retailers with new lines.”
Gander Kids enjoyed a range of podium finishes after it won Gold for P’kolino multi-solution puzzles and Silver for the P’Kolino Playful Art Set in the Practical Pre-School Awards. Practical Parenting and Pregnancy Magazine awarded the Bronze to the multi-solution puzzles and Mumpreneur UK sponsored by Yell, awarded Gander Kids the Best Start Up. Rounding off the fistful of gongs was making the winners list at the O2’s SMARTA100 awards.
Maxine added: “The warehouse is full of our latest P’Kolino and IVI products and we’re now head down into the Christmas season as we work to meet retailer demand.”
